OVERVIEW

The highly anticipated 3rd edition of Singapore Contemporary opens on Thursday January 18, 2018 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre with an exclusive afternoon VIP Private View and evening VIP Vernissage, and continues through Friday and the weekend.


Spread over 6,000+ square meters, Singapore Contemporary will host more than 100 exhibitors offering collectors and art enthusiasts a wide selection of accessible and collectable works including original paintings, limited editions, sculpture and photography - including investment-grade art with a strong secondary market and auction following, plus works by some of the world's most interesting and promising artists.


A RANGE OF SPECIAL FEATURES AND PROGRAMS

In addition to showcasing over 3,000 carefully selected works of art, Singapore Contemporary will be structured around four principal sectors – Photo18 Singapore, Latin American Voices, Artist Dialogues and Gallery Projects – and will offer complimentary programs for adults and children including art tours, kid’s art studio, art talks and live painting demonstrations.


AT THE HEART OF SINGAPORE ART WEEK

Kicking off the Asian art calendar, the 3rd edition of Singapore Contemporary will be a cornerstone event of Singapore Art Week – the largest celebration of the visual arts in Southeast Asia, comprising numerous public art exhibits, gallery presentations and interactive art projects.

There is abundant parking at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. The venue is easily accessible by MRT (Esplanade Station or Promenade Station via the Circle Line), and there are several conveniently located taxi ranks.

EXHIBITOR APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR SINGAPORE CONTEMPORARY

The 3rd edition of the Singapore Contemporary offers leading art galleries and artists from around the world the opportunity to meet with and sell to art buyers and collectors from around Southeast Asia right in the heart of Singapore during exciting Singapore Art Week. Singapore Contemporary is structured around four principal sectors: Photo18 Singapore, Latin American Voices, Artist Dialogues and Gallery Projects. The popular Show (January 18 - 21, 2018) will host over 100 exhibitors and installation art from around the world and is expected to welcome more than 25,000 visitors over the four days. 



Singapore is the sole arts hub in Southeast Asia, attracting collectors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and other countries across the region. The city-state’s extensive public arts program is underpinned by the National Arts Council, Economic Development Board and Singapore Tourism Board and has the support of the Art Galleries Association Singapore and many non-profit organizations.

Exhibitor applications are open for Singapore Contemporary, both gallery and artist applicants are welcome.
